If you’re in Chicago next week, we’re hosting a reception at the AERA conference, which will bring together education professionals from around the world.
Next week tens of thousands of educators from around the world will descend upon Chicago for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) annual conference. Made up primarily of educators, administrators, directors of research, counselors, evaluators and others, the conference presents an opportunity to introduce the work of the digital media and learning initiative to a broad education audience.
MacArthur will host a reception on Thursday, April 12, from 7-9pm, in ballroom V, at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers, where the conference is taking place.
Julia Stasch, MacArthur’s Vice President for Human and Community Development will introduce MacArthur’s new initiative; Jim Gee will discuss the emerging field of digital media and learning within the context of a new movement for educators; and Connie Yowell, MacArthur’s Director of Education, will also be present.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. The reception is open to anyone attending the conference. No rsvp is required.
