Foundation president announces new grants and wishes happy holidays.
As the year comes to a close, I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday and to congratulate those working in the field of digital media and learning for an extraordinarily productive year. The fall has been a time of hope, promise, and also real concern. The last four months have brought significant change, as well as signaled the need for new approaches to achieving and sustaining social, economic and educational well being in the 21st century. I believe the ongoing work in digital media and learning is leading to new ways of thinking about learning. I am encouraged by this work and look forward to even greater accomplishments in 2009.
For our part, we have many new grants to announce. The blog series that follows will describe these projects in some detail. I look forward to exciting ideas and exchange here on Spotlight in the new year.
