Description of Current Work:
My particular work focuses on multimedia production for what Project NML calls the “learning library”, which includes videos that highlight exemplary media makers and online activities that engage the skills outlined in the NML White Paper. I also work on a collaboration between our project and the GoodPlay initiative at Harvard’s Project Zero. That collaboration focuses on ethical dilemmas that youth face in the course of participating in new media forms. At the moment I am probably the person in the research group who is most focused on on legal implications of our work, although several other members have considerable experience as well. I also have a background in public media, which is complemented by others’ knowledge of that industry.
