Why Digital Media and Learning?

I am involved in the future of digital media and learning because I believe in the power of new media to engage people in pressing social issues in a complex and meaningful way.

Description of Current Work:

Digital Innovations Group (DIG) is dedicated to developing innovative Web-based projects that bring fresh perspectives and new voices to the discussion of public issues. Games for Change (G4C), a project of DIG is the leader in an emerging discipline: the use of video games for the public interest. G4C acts as the new movement’s international nexus bringing together leading academics, non-profits, and industry experts engaged in the design and use of digital games that address real world issues. Through our work, we provide visibility for the field and a forum for sharing new and creative games that incorporate a wide range of social issues, from poverty to race and the environment.
